There's a lot to do!
Harrogate:
Explore the antique shops and galleries or stroll through the Valley Gardens before taking afternoon tea at Betty's famous tea rooms.
Unwind in the Turkish Baths or relax with a spa treatment after shopping in the town's wide range of stores and boutiques.
Visit RHS Harlow Carr Gardens and browse in their excellent book shop and garden centre. Betty's have another branch here too with a choice of light lunches in the cafe or full waitress service in their conservatory restaurant.
Come for the Great Yorkshire Show or the Spring Flower Show, to name only two of the many events at the show ground and conference centre.
Further afield:
York is an ancient and historic city with its Minster and museums. Go back to the time of the Vikings in the Jorvik museum or spend the day being amazed by trains in the National Railway Museum.
Leeds has theatres and designer shopping in the wonderfully restored Victoria Quarter. Or choose the Henry Moore Gallery or the Royal Armouries Museum.
The glorious Yorkshire Dales are on our doorstep. Walkers and nature lovers will be inspired by the breathtaking scenery of Wharfedale and Nidderdale, only half an hour's drive away.
Fountains Abbey World Heritage Site is the largest and best known of a number of abbeys in the area. Bolton Abbey on the Duke of Devonshire's estate is also a historic site in a beautiful setting.
Stately homes to be visited nearby include Harewood House, Newby Hall and Ripley Castle, each with their individual attractions and events.
